Our hotel and car recommendation will depend on which event(s) you want to stay near and what you want to do while visiting the area.
- If you want to stay near Thursday's event 'The Day We Do', then we recommend a hotel either near Dripping Springs or Wimberley. This area is called the Texas Hill Country, and it's great for visiting wineries and hiking. If you plan on staying in this area the entire time, rideshare like Uber or Lyft can get you around, but it will be expensive to get to and from the airport. If you plan on staying in the Hill Country but want to go back and forth to Austin multiple times, we recommend renting a car.
- If you want to stay near Friday's event 'The Happily Ever After Party', we recommend a hotel near the Domain. The Domain is a mini-downtown area. There's lots of shopping, restaurants, and nightlife. We have a group discount at the Lone Star Court hotel. If you are interested in utilizing it, reach out to the Bride or Groom. The domain is also a short ride away from downtown Austin. Using a rideshare like Uber and Lyft to get around is recommended, however it is over an hour drive (~$80 Uber) from the Domain to Thursday's event at The Videre Estate.

This is an hour drive (without traffic) from the Thursday venue out in Wimberley (@ The Videre Estate).
This is an 8 minute walk from where we will start the Friday event, and this hotel is literally where we are ending the night. (Friday is split between 2 locations).
Want to Stay Near the "Day We Do" event?

This is a 30 minute drive to the Thursday venue in Wimberley (The Videre Estate), and a 40 minute drive to the Friday event at the Domain.
You could say this is a good middle ground between the 2, that is also budget friendly. During heavy traffic times, it will take you 15 or even 20 minutes longer to get to and from the Domain.

The Bygone is a family-run, 16 room boutique hotel with beautiful hilltop views. This is another hotel recommended by The Videre Estate.

2 minutes drive to the Thursday venue @ The Videre Estate.
This place is all about nature. Stay in a luxury cabin or dome out in the woods, right next to the our wedding venue. This is also a recommended stay by The Videre Estate.
